Silena Murrell  is an American singer-songwriter, actress and former Universal Music artist  signed by Doug Morris.  She wrote her debut single “Bring It Home”  with Scott Storch and Greg Curtis which reached #34 on Billboards Adult Contemporary charts on Oct 14, 2006.  ‘Bring It Home’ ( a.k.a. Body Rock) was also covered by Beyoncé. 

 

Ms. Murrell is the female vocalist on the Dream's hit single, "Shawty is a 10" reaching number 6 on Billboards Hot R&B/HipHop Charts, and vocalist on Aaliyah's "Journey to the Past", Anastasia movie soundtrack which was nominated for an Oscar (Academy Award).  

 

Ms. Murrell produced and released her debut album “Phoenix” in 2014 with popular track, “What If I Told You” co-produced by Dre Knight. 

 

Ms. Murrell co-starred with Fantasia Barrino, Faith Evans and Nicci Gilbert in the musical “Soul Kittens Cabaret” which premiered on BET.   She also co-starred in the musical “Making It” with Ricky Bell - directed by Tony award winning director, George Faison.

 

Silena wrote "Never Say Goodbye” for The Braxtons with H.O.P.  Productions,  and "Willing and Waiting" for Joya with Vincent Herbert, Joya and Steve Wade.
